President von der Leyen in United States to meet President Biden and receive Atlantic Council’s Distinguished Leadership Award

Today, 10 November, Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will meet the President of the United States, Joe Biden, at the White House in Washington DC. In the evening, the President will attend the Atlantic Council’s Awards reception, where she will receive the Distinguished Leadership Award. The Council is honouring the President “for her lifetime of accomplishment as a true European and transatlantic citizen, and for her positive impact advancing a Europe that is whole, free, and at peace”.
