The European Commission is delighted to announce that the EU Scholarships programme for the Turkish Cypriot community is offering up to 3 scholarships for interested Turkish Cypriots in studying European affairs at the prestigious College of Europe. This opportunity launched in 2021 comes as an additional effort of the European Commission to bring the Turkish Cypriot community closer to the EU, by enabling scholars to study at the Bruges Campus, at an easy access to the EU institutions and other main stakeholders of the European project.
The College of Europe offers several specialised programmes on European Affairs, which have contributed over the years to the preparation of professionals dedicated to a stronger and united Europe. This is the also the Commission’s hope, one where young Turkish Cypriots play an active role in the reunification of Cyprus and full integration in the EU.
The scholarship covers full tuition fees, accommodation, boarding, a monthly stipend and travel costs. The online application period for the academic year 2024-2025 will be open until 16 January 2024. Application should be submitted before the deadline date at the College Applications page.
As part of the courses that The EU Scholarship programme offers, applicants can apply for French language courses if they wish to enhance their language skills.
