Commissioner Gabriel engages in the Democracy Forum in Cyprus

Today and tomorrow, Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth Maryia Gabriel will be in Cyprus to participate in the opening of the Democracy Forum in Cyprus, a concrete deliverable of the European Year of Youth. This Forum showcases the challenges that democracy is currently facing. It is organised by the Presidency of the Republic of Cyprus and the House of Representatives at the Filoxenia Conference Center in Nicosia. The Democracy Forum is funded by a European Year of Youth National Coordination grant. During the visit, the Commissioner will meet the Minister of Education, Culture, Sport and Youth, Prodromos Prodromou. She will also visit the Innovation Centre accompanied by the Permanent Secretary of the Deputy Ministry for Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, Stelios Himonas.
