The 2022 Brussels Economic Forum takes place tomorrow, and will focus on the economy of the next generation

The Brussels Economic Forum (BEF), the flagship annual economic event of the European Commission is taking place on Tuesday, 17 May 2022.

Brussels Economic Forum

For over 20 years, the Forum has gathered high-level European and international policymakers, academics, civil society and business leaders to identify key challenges and debate policy priorities for the European economy. To mark 2022 as the European Year of Youth, the Forum will focus on what the economy of the next generation should look like. Award-winning young economists will join high-level speakers from across the world to discuss new ideas on how we can build a fair, green and digital economy for the future. Participants at this year's Forum will include, amongst many others, Executive Vice-President Valdis Dombrovskis, Commissioner Paolo Gentiloni, Commissioner Nicolas Schmit, United States Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen, First Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Gita Gopinath, and Third Vice-President and Minister for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge of Spain Teresa Ribera. Further details on how to register for attendees and journalists are available here. The full programme is available here.
