European Day of Languages 2023: Language fair at the University of Cyprus

The Office of the Directorate-General for Translation at the Representation of the European Commission in Cyprus, together with the Language Centre of the University of Cyprus celebrate the European Day of Languages.

On Wednesday 27/09/23, we invite you to celebrate with us, at the premises of the University of Cyprus, the most important force of multiculturalism, communication! From 10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m., you can take a taste of the languages taught at the Language Centre of the University of Cyprus and discover the magic world of language learning.

The first part of the event will take place from 09: 45 to 10: 30 a.m. in room 010 in building ΚΟΔ 07. At the same time, there will be information stands from language institutes and other organisations [Dante Alighieri, British Council, French Institute, Goethe Institute, Confucius Institute, Aula Cervantes, Greek Language School, Association for Bilingualism in Cyprus, Cyprus Linguistics Society]. The Language Fair will include a musical performance with music and songs in various languages and it will give you the opportunity to take part in language competitions and win gifts!  

You can register and attend twenty-minute presentations of all ten languages that are taught at the University of Cyprus [English, French, German, Greek, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Russian, Turkish and Cypriot sign language]. The experienced teaching staff of the Language Centre of UCY, the Greek Language School and the Confucius Institute will give you the opportunity to take a taste of different languages and cultures based on your choice.
