Vice-President Schinas in Athens today and in Istanbul tomorrow

Visit of Margaritis Schinas, Vice-President of the European Commission, to Greece

Vice-President for Promoting our European Way of Life, Margaritis Schinas, is in Athens today where he will participate in the inauguration of the new headquarters of ENISA, the European Union Agency dedicated to achieving a high common level of cybersecurity across the EU, and meet with the ENISA board of directors. He will hold a joint press conference with Minister of Digital Governance, Kyriakos Pierrakakis, which you can follow live on EbS at 12:15 CET. Tomorrow, the Vice-President will be in Istanbul where he will speak at the World Health Organisation's high-level meeting on health and migration, focusing on EU support for the provision of health services to refugees and cooperation with partner countries and international organisations, including in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. He will give a press conference after the meeting at 08:15 CET together with WHO Regional Directors for Europe, Africa and the Eastern Mediterranean and Turkish officials. His speech and the press conference will be broadcast on EbS. Vice-President Schinas will also visit three health centres for migrants and refugees in Istanbul, supported by EU funding: the Fatih Extended Migrant Health Center, the Sultangazi Community Migrant Health Center and the UNFPA Key Refugee Group Center. On Saturday, he will have an audience with His All Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew in Istanbul.
