European Parliament Liaison Office in Cyprus

The European Parliament Liaison Office in Cyprus, which is located in the same building as the Representation, provides information on the European Parliament's role and powers, on the Cypriot MEPs and their activities and on issues currently being considered by Parliament which are of significance for Cyprus and for Europe as a whole.

Your Europe Legal Adviser

The Your Europe Legal Adviser is a lawyer and is available by appointment to provide you with free advice on your rights in the European Union. 
 

SOLVIT

Solvit is an on-line problem solving network in which EU Member States work together to solve problems caused by the misapplication of Internal Market law by public authorities, without legal proceedings.

European Ombudsman

The European Ombudsman investigates complaints about poor administration by EU institutions or other EU bodies. These may be lodged by citizens or residents of EU countries or by EU-based associations or businesses. The current European Ombudsman is Irish woman Emily O'Reilly.

FIN-NET

FIN-NET provides a network for settling cross-border financial disputes within the EEA out of Court i.e. disputes between consumers and financial service providers such as banks, insurance companies etc.

OLAF – European Anti-Fraud Office

OLAF investigates fraud against the EU budget, corruption and serious misconduct within the European institutions, and develops anti-fraud policy for the European Commission.

EURES

EURES provides information, advice and recruitment/placement (job-matching) services for the benefit of workers and employers, as well as any citizen wishing to benefit from the principle of the free movement of persons.

Eurodesk

Eurodesk provides free information on opportunities-such as travelling, working, studying and volunteering in Europe--for young people aged 13 - 30.

EURAXESS

The EURAXESS Services Centre helps researchers and their family to plan and organise their move to a foreign country, providing help in all matters related to mobility.

 

Information on consumer rights

European Consumer Centre

The European Consumer Centre Cyprus is part of an EU-wide network that advises citizens on their rights as consumers and provides easy access to redress, particularly in cases where the consumer has purchased something in another country to his/her own (cross-border).

RAPEX

The EU Rapid Alert System for non-food dangerous products facilitates the rapid exchange of information between national authorities of 31 countries and the European Commission on dangerous products found on the market.
