150 citizens from across Europe are gathering in Brussels this upcoming weekend for the first session of the European Citizens’ Panel on the New European Budget.
They will deliberate on how the EU's finances should be allocated to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing global landscape and enhance the quality of life for European citizens.
By the conclusion of the Panel in May, participants will agree upon a series of recommendations. These will be submitted to the European Commission to support its future work on the EU budget.
The plenary meetings on Friday (2.30pm - 6.30pm) and Sunday (9am - 1pm) will be web streamed here.
