Today, Commissioner Gentiloni will attend the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors meeting and the G7 Ministerial meeting. The discussion will focus on the economic impact of the war in Ukraine and financial support to Ukraine, as well as on strengthening the global health architecture, including a new financial facility for pandemics. The Commissioner will also meet with Jerome H. Powell, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. He will also have bilateral meetings with ministers from Argentina, India, Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey. Tomorrow, Thursday 21 April, Commissioner Gentiloni will participate in a public event at the Peterson Institute for International Economics (PIIE), focusing on the economic policy implications of the war in Ukraine for the EU and on transatlantic relations. Tomorrow, Executive Vice-President Dombrovskis will participate in the International Monetary Fund Committee (IMFC) Plenary, which will focus on the economic repercussions of the war in Ukraine. On the same day, the Executive Vice-President will attend a Ministerial Roundtable for Support to Ukraine, jointly organised by the Government of Ukraine and the World Bank Group, where Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is due to deliver opening remarks. The Executive Vice-President will also meet Ukraine's Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. Both Executive Vice-President Dombrovskis and Commissioner Gentiloni will then meet with Janet Yellen, US Treasury Secretary. Executive Vice-President Dombrovskis will also meet Katherine Tai, US Trade Representative, on Thursday, 21 April, at 11:30 (local time), followed by a joint press point. He will also meet with US Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo at 18:00 (local time). On Friday, Executive-Vice President Dombrovskis will deliver a keynote speech on Transatlantic relations at Georgetown Law.
