Today, the EU wraps up a week of intense discussions and engagements with world leaders on the most pressing global issues. Commissioner Jessika Roswall will participate in the high-level side event ‘Road to Biodiversity COP17’ organised by Armenia and the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity.

Yesterday, among the main highlights of the EU's participation at the UN General Assembly, High Representative/Vice-President Kaja Kallas represented the EU at the G20 Foreign Ministers meeting. Read her remarks. She also participated in the high-level meeting on Women Peace and Security, organised by Morocco, Guatemala and France. Watch her remarks. In the afternoon, she participated in the Ministerial Meeting of the Ad Hoc Liaison Committee (AHLC). Commissioner Glenn Micallef delivered a statement on behalf of the EU at the High-Level Meeting to Commemorate the 30th anniversary of the World Programme of Action for Youth. Watch his statement on UNTV. He also delivered a statement on behalf of the EU at the High-Level Meeting on the Prevention and Control of Non-communicable Diseases and the Promotion of Mental Health and Well-Being. Read the statement. Commissioner Micallef also announced a financial contribution worth €10 million in support to the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund for 2025-2027 at its pledging conference.
