The Commissioner will address the High-Level Ministerial Conference organised by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Cyprus entitled ‘COVID-19: the path after the pandemic'. The Commissioner will also visit the German Oncology Centre in Limassol. On Saturday, she will lead the Europa Donna Cyprus ‘Pink Silhouette March'. Ahead of the visit, Commissioner Kyriakides said: “Still today, persons with a history of cancer face numerous social and financial challenges, including limited access to mortgages and loans. This must change. It is with utmost determination and that we are launching an EU-wide process to address the “right to be forgotten” in all Member States, as we committed to under Europe's Beating Cancer Plan. The Pink Silhouette March will bring attention to this crucial issue, as we aim to guide cancer patients and their families through every step of their journey”. In September, the Commission published a communication on COVID preparedness and a proposal for Cancer Screening Recommendation.
